Good News
As a church we cannot continue in this good work without the Good News. We are constantly exposed to people or sources in social media that try to discredit the truths of the Bible. As we expound the truths of God's Word and share His gospel, we can effective help extinguish these lies. May we be a church that exalts the gospel and the Person of the gospel!
Scripture: Titus 1:10-2-15

    Good Leadership
In the first chapter of Titus, Paul instructs Titus on what qualities to look for when appointing elders or overseers. These qualities are remarkably unremarkable in that each believer should also exhibit those qualities. May we continue to grow daily and be transformed into Christ's image.
    Scripture: Titus 1:5-16

    Gospel. Church. Kingdom.
As Paul was writing to Titus, he was giving him instructions on how to best lead the church at Crete to continue the good work that began there. He reminded Titus that the gospel must be the foundation for any church and that there is a greater mission to accomplish by sharing that with others. As a church, our mission must be the same, even during transition.

    Redemption’s Road
In the book of Ruth we see a beautiful story of pain and redemption. We get a glimpse of the bitterness and sweetness of God's providence. Underneath it all God was furthering His plan of redemption for all of mankind. God used Boaz' redemption of Ruth and her lineage to give us and the people of Israel a small picture of the greater redemption that would be found in Jesus Christ.

    Painful Providence
In the book of Ruth, we see a group of women faced with many choices. Both Ruth and Naomi had different outlooks on their situation. Ruth saw the goodness of God and wanted to follow Him. Naomi saw God's dealings as bitter. How will we respond to pain and tragedy in our lives? Will we devote our lives to God, or will we allow our past to keep us from seeing His gracious and loving providence over our lives?
    Scripture: Ruth 1:1-18

    Purpose in the Instructions
    Series: PURPOSE
Many times, God will give us instructions that seem illogical, insulting or insignificant. In those moments, we must trust that God has a purpose and reason for what He is calling us to do. His ways are higher, and His plans are better.

    Purpose In The Thorn
    Series: PURPOSE
In II Corinthians 12, Paul recounted an experience he had when he was shown a glimpse of the glories of heaven. After his experience, he was given a thorn that God was purposing to cultivate humility in his heart and create a deep dependence on Himself. There are many times that we endure afflictions in life, and we immediately pray for God to relief us of them. We need to be reminded that God has divine purpose in every "thorn" we may be given that will display His power in our lives.
    Scripture: II Corinthians 12:1-10

    Listen. Obey. Trust.
As Jesus was nearing the end of His earthly ministry with the disciples, He wanted to encourage them in the work He still had for them after His departure. He promised them that the Holy Spirit would help them listen to His calling, obey Him fully, and He would give them the faith to trust His plans in the uncertain times. May we do the same in our lives every day knowing that we still have a mission, and we have the Holy Spirit to lead us along the way.
    Scripture: John 14:15-27

    Purpose In The Call
    Series: PURPOSE
Jesus calls. We respond. Philip was doing a great work in Samaria where the gospel was bringing great joy to the city. Then an angel told him to leave there and go down to the desert road. Philip responded with "Yes, Lord." May our response when Jesus calls us to do something always be "Yes, Lord" even when it appears to be difficult.
    Scripture: Acts 8:1-8;26-40
