Lost: The Lost Intention Of The Parable
Luke 15 is best known for the parable of the Prodigal Son. However, the father in the story had two sons. The older son represented the Pharisees who thought highly of themselves because they were outwardly obedient. It's easy for us, as believers, to have the same attitude of self-righteousness. God desires that our hearts be changed, and that our obedience would reflect a deep love for Him. We could never earn God's amazing grace.
Scripture: Luke 15:25-32

Lost: To The Far Country And Back
In one of the most famous parables in the Bible, Jesus tells of a Father who had two lost sons. One son took his inheritance and wasted it all on reckless living. As we look more closely into this story, we see how serious the son's sin was and how much greater his Father loved him. Anytime a person turns from their sin and runs to Jesus is a cause for great celebration.
    Scripture: Luke 15:11-24

    Wrestling With God Pt.2
In His wrestling match with Jacob, God could have easily taken him down. However, God's desire in that moment was not to crush Jacob, but to strengthen His relationship with him. The trials that we wrestle through in our lives are used by God to draw us and others closer to Himself.

    Wrestling With God Pt.1
Every great wrestling match has a background story that leads up to the fight. The account of Jacob wrestling with God is no different. There was a lot of  pain and sin in Jacobs life that he brought into the ring. God is big enough and strong enough to handle our past and it's okay to step in the ring with God and be honest about our feelings.
    Scripture: Genesis 32

    I’ll Never
When God spoke to Moses through the burning bush, He explained how He specifically wanted to use Moses to deliver His people from the bondage of Egypt. Moses gave every excuse as to how he could never be the one to accomplish this. We must trust God that when we calls us to do something, He will help give us the strength and abilities to accomplish His purpose.
    Scripture, Exodus 3 & 4
